Bus lanes on Bank Street

The city is currently studying replacing parking with dedicated bus lanes on a portion of bank street. We need to your help to help them make the right decision!
Actions:
Buying higher capacity buses

OC Transpo is facing a significant bus shortage which has been one of the main causes of the lack of bus reliability, and cancelled buses. OC Transpo currently has a bus fleet mostly consisting of the longer articulated buses (bendy buses), but these buses are have exceeded their expected life-time of 15 years and will be retired soon. The city is planning on replacing these buses with mostly shorter 40-foot buses. Each articulated bus can carry about 50% more passengers than a standard bus, so replacing each bus 1:1 means decreasing the system's capacity by half.
At the next transit commission council meeting, there will be a proposal to change the purchase order to include some articulated buses. We need to let our councillors know that we support this change.
